Mercedes vito sliding door lock problems.
If just one lock won t open on your mercedes then the problem may rest with broken wiring a bad solenoid or perhaps with a blown fuse.
Hi all my 2008 vito side rear door has decided it is no longer unlocking consistently with the remote lock unlock.
If so replace the fuse.
Try all the way i could find from the.
The driver side sliding door and rear door wont lock or unlock by central lock.
The lock within the door is 2 stage the extra couple of mm at the end when closing makes the difference for it actually locking.
Check your fuse box first to determine if a blown fuse is keeping the lock from working.
The electrics will not be connected until the door closes properly as the contacts are on the same end of the door that does not engage the lock hook correctly.
You can try this with a screw driver shaft into the the receiver the u clasp engages with.
The physical lock unlock buttons work ok from inside.
The main problem is that the door does not physically shut fully.
When locking the door the indicator wont flash as it should be but do 1 flash when unlocking as normal.
Be sure to unlock before you close the door again.
The dash switch only do lock but wont unlock the doors.
Left hand side id normal.
Initially tested by putting wire across terminals and figured out that green and red turned the open door light off in the dash.
Lite on the dash switch wont turn on anymore.
You will need to connect red and green wires door locks perfectly and open door light in dash is not illuminated.
My 2006 merc vito has 4 wires into the rear door locking mechanism.
