However if your ring is too big and cannot be properly resized you can try a ring guard. This is a technique you can use right now so you can get your ring fitting again in a hurry. A ring guard is a rubber of plastic tube that wraps around your ring s shank to effectively make it smaller and sits on the underside of your finger where it will be fairly inconspicuous. These are great alternatives to consider when having the ring professionally resized is not an option or if you don t want to permanently resize the ring.

Basically you put the desired amount of silicone on the ring to make it fit your finger size. This little push will make your ring fit better and should still give you room for swelling and bloating.
